Staff profiles
Rosemary Hill
Director, Engineering Career Services
I’m responsible for the overall management of all Engineering Career Services functions and services. I consult with employers on recruiting strategies, work closely with our development staff on building productive relationships with employers, and with department chairs and faculty on recruiting and outcomes issues. A significant amount of my time is spent assisting graduating students—B.S., M.S., Ph.D.-- with career and job search issues such as resumes, letters, job search strategies, and interview coaching.
My background includes over twenty-five years of professional experience in college career services, cooperative education, and corporate college recruiting and a graduate degree in career counseling/higher education from Northwestern University. I have held leadership roles in the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, the National Association of Colleges and Employers, as well as the Ohio Cooperative Education Association. In 2005, I received the J.W. Paquette “Superior Leadership Award” from MwACE. From 2003-2005 I served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Colleges and Employers. As chair of the NACE Principles and Practices Committee, I’m involved in efforts to educate employers and career services staff about legal and ethical issues.
Some years ago I was fortunate enough to attend a two-week training session conducted by the nation’s leading career planning/job search practitioner, Richard N. Bolles. Not surprisingly, my favorite book for job seekers is Bolles’ What Color Is Your Parachute?.
Olga Stavridis
Associate Director, Engineering Career Services; Co-op & Internship Program Manager
I work with both employers and students, with primary responsibility for managing the Engineering Co-op & Internship Program. My background includes a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Ohio State and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State. I’ve been enthusiastic about co-op since my own student days as an engineering co-op; as an engineer, I supervised co-op and intern students.
If you are a student needing assistance with exploring your career options, writing your resume, preparing for an interview, or developing a strategy for your co-op or intern job search, I would be happy to meet with you. If you are an employer who needs information regarding the co-op/intern candidate pool or assistance in developing a co-op program or recruiting co-ops and interns, please let me know.
Kathy Weaver
Assistant Director, Engineering Career Services
Employers, if you have questions about resume referrals, using the searchable resume books, posting job openings, and ECS services in general, please give me a call!
My background includes over fifteen years of career coaching for diverse groups of people as well as extensive experience working with employers. I’ve also got eight years of experience as an HR manager. Although I spend most of my time assisting employers, I also help graduating international students with resume and job search issues, conduct employer follow-up and outreach, and lead the annual revision of the Recruiter’s Guide.

Rachel Kaschner
Co-op & Career Advisor
I meet with students seeking to obtain internships, co-ops, and career employment. I can provide you with valuable career related advice, including, but not limited to: resume reviews, job search strategies, interviewing preparation, and career exploration. My background includes a Masters of Education from The Ohio State University and previous co-op and career counseling experience at The University of Texas at Austin’s Engineering Career Assistance Center.
Amy Franklin
Office Manager
I assist students in their transitions from campus to work. Contact me if you would like to be enrolled in Engineering 689, the official engineering co-op/intern course. You may also contact me if you need a letter of good standing for a prospective employer, need to inactivate a dorm contract while on a co-op or intern assignment, or need verification of your full-time status to purchase athletic tickets or health insurance.
I help employers connect with engineering students eager for field-related work experience. I will be happy to provide information on how our Engineering Co-op & Internship Program works as well as provide resumes of the finest engineering co-op or internship candidates available.
In my spare time, I manage the daily operations of Engineering Career Services. I compile Engineering Co-op & Internship Program statistics, help maintain our student and employer databases, and help keep our website updated.
