Mission
Engineering Career Services (ECS) serves three primary populations:
- Engineering and computer science students who seek opportunities for engineering cooperative education or internship experience prior to graduation;
- Engineering and computer science students within one year of completing BS, MS, or PhD degrees who seek full-time postgraduate career opportunities; and
- Employers who wish to hire these candidates.
To accomplish this, we:
- Provide information, assistance, friendly support and technology resources necessary for candidates to effectively utilize program services;
- Continuously recruit new co-op and intern candidates, striving to maintain a diverse candidate pool;
- Provide employers with efficient, helpful service; endeavor to attract and retain local, national, and international employers;
- Seek out new relationships and build existing relationships between employers, faculty and students;
- Actively promote the value of cooperative education and internship experience in the college and in the community at large;
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate statistics on recruiting activity and post-graduate status for college staff, faculty, students, and employers;
- Continuously seek ways to improve the quality of ECS services and efficiency of ECS processes by obtaining feedback from our customers and implementing changes as resources permit.
