Special events/opportunities

Engineering Career Services (ECS) can help employers promote special events or opportunities to targeted segments of the student population.

Information you provide can be e-mailed to selected groups of students. Since our database is integrated with the University Registrar’s database, we can search on major, degree level, anticipated graduation date, work authorization status, and other variables. We can also search on student-entered information such as type of employment sought (co-op, internship, career, part-time) or resume key words (if the student has a current resume).

Similarly, employers approved for resume book access can identify students who might match their needs and “broadcast” a message directly to those students.

We suggest this method be used as a supplement to, not a replacement for, other recruiting methods (on-campus recruiting, resume referrals, job postings). Keep in mind that students—like all of us—receive large quantities of e-mail and may overlook some of these messages.
