Co-op & intern students
Registration steps
Once eligibility requirements are met, the following steps will take you through the complete enrollment process.
PLEASE NOTE: Documents require you to have Adobe Acrobat Reader [new window] or another PDF viewer installed.
- Attend an ECIP 101 meeting - plan to attend one of the earliest meetings so you don't miss interview opportunities! Dates and times of upcoming meetings can be found under our calendar.
- Meet with your Academic Advisor to plan when a co-op or internship position will best fit into your schedule. This will also help you plan your job search. Student athletes must meet with their SASSO counselor, in addition to their Academic Advisor.
- Complete, sign, and return the Registration Card obtained at the ECIP 101 meeting to 199 Hitchcock along with a check or money order made payable to "The Ohio State University" for the one-time fee of $25. You will receive an email with a password and user information for your job search account.
- Schedule a resume review appointment by stopping at our front desk or by calling 614/292-6651.
- Create a resume using the ECIP template. This template is preformatted to be scanner friendly and provides pertinent information in an easy-to-find format for employers.
- Login to your job search account [new window] and complete your profile and upload your resume. See the handout, Using Your Job Search Account [pdf] for additional help.
- Complete the Quarterly Activation Form, which is found on the bottom right side of your job search account page, to fully activate your job search account.
- Attend your resume consultation appointment. Bring a printed draft of your resume and a copy of your advising report to your appointment.
- After your appointment, revise your resume based on the feedback received during your appointment and upload it to your job search account. Select your updated resume as your default.
- Take advantage of Engineering Career Services workshops to refresh your interviewing and job search skills.
