Career library
The Donor Board is prominently displayed in the Engineering Career Services Library in 199 Hitchcock Hall, highlighting the name of employers who have provided significant financial support to ECS and the Engineering Cooperative Education & Internship Program over the prior year. We appreciate their support and their commitment to hiring Buckeyes! Read more about them in Corporate Support.
Recruiting materials and application forms are stored on the Library shelves in colored boxes.
Reference material includes company binders, videotapes, co-op or intern reviews of employers, and single copies of company information. Reference material must be reviewed within the ECS office.
Publications and handouts found in the Library that will assist you in your job search include the following:
- Career Services Handbook - This provides important information on ECS policies and procedures. Please review the information carefully - it is an essential tool for your job search. This publication also provides very practical advice on many frequently asked job search questions. This is provided to ECS registrants at no charge.
- Job Choices - Published by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, this publication has two volumes. One focuses on job search topics (job search letters, high-impact resumes, the plant visit, etc.), while the second volume (sometimes called "the Cliff Notes of company literature") is mostly profiles of employers seeking to recruit college graduates. The profiles are indexed by major field, company location, job function, degree level, and citizenship. The publications (a $25.00 value) are available free to ECS registrants, thanks to employer donations.
The Library is accessible during ECS' regular business hours.
