Search agents
Search Agents are saved Advanced Searches that students can run at any time. The benefit of a search agent is that you can run it in 3 clicks from your login page (click Jobs, Search Agents, and Run) and/or automate it to e-mail you about opportunities that fit your criteria. Most important, you are less likely to miss opportunities!
Once you have set up, named, and submitted a search agent, click on the Search Agents tab to automate it:
- Click on the label.
- Click yes to enable.
- Period: select frequency.
- Multiple: enter a number in the box. For example, you might select Day and type in 3 to have it run every 3 days. You will then get an e-mail every 3 days to let you know what current opportunities match your search criteria.
Once enabled, a search agent only remains enabled for one quarter. When a student reactivates his/her account for a new quarter of job searching, the search agents need to be re-enabled at that time.
